412-GTR MES-ST V30-EN-08 D57m0

Released on January 15, 2015.

Impulse response library based on:
  • Verbose "Vector" sampling methodology
  • Mesa Standard ("Oversized") 4x12 guitar cabinet
  • Mesa custom 8 ohm Celestion T4335B Vintage 30
  • Modern production Shure SM57
  • Mic placed on the grill cloth for vectors A-H

Fractal Audio Axe-Fx I and II (.syx, Lo/Hi-Res only)
Ultra-Res files are not provided by default due to licensing restrictions. Wav files ideal for Ultra-Res user side conversion via Cab-Lab are provided.
Kemper Profiling Amp (.kipr)
Wave Audio (.wav)
Wave audio format IR's (.wav) are provided in 24 bit resolution in 44.1, 48, 88.2, and 96 kHz sample rates as both mono and stereo (dual mono) files, and are compatible with convolution reverb type loaders, whether they be plugins in recording software or implemented within outboard hardware (such as the Two Notes Torpedo Live and Digitech GSP1101 beta firmware).

  • D - dynamic microphone
  • 57 - based on Shure SM57
  • m - modern production unit
  • 0 - mic placed on the grill cloth for vectors A-H

  • Prism Orpheus
Microphone Amplification:
  • Chandler Limited TG Channel

  • Based on an 8 ohm T4335B Celestion Vintage 30
  • Made in England to Mesa specifications
For more information, see the Gear section.

• SS - uses a ruler flat, uncolored, reference level solid state amp
• T0 - uses a mostly flat, neutral tube amp
• T1 - uses a tube guitar amp with a natural response (no added presence/depth boost)
• T2 - uses a tube guitar amp with a slightly larger sound than T1

In this library the mic has been extensively placed across the face of the speaker along nine separate directional vectors. Vectors A through H are swept from at or near the center of the speaker outward across the face in incremental steps along the X and/or Y axis planes, each vector 45 degrees apart from its neighbor. Vector I (not depicted in the graphic to the right) starts at the center of the speaker at the grill cloth and is then pulled directly backward in incremental steps away from the cabinet along the Z axis plane.

This makes the total amount of captures:
9 vectors x 11 positions x 4 power amps = 396 unique IR's

Since this is a large amount of files to parse through on first use, a "Quick Start" folder has also been included which copies over a few captures from each power amp that represent the most common placements for this type of microphone.
